Increased mobility-you bet- now you can tow any of our trailers behind your scooter! Click here.
Don't let your dependence on a scooter hold you back, now you can get out and shop and haul to your hearts desire-well we will leave your 50 foot power boat and travel trailer at home until they get these scooters up a few horsepower-but for now there's still a lot you can do. The one in the pic uses recycled wheels. Shipping considerations mean using lighter wheels-with adequate strength of course.

But we have a whole new world of trailers opening up here!

THE TRYKEBAR - CREATE YOUR OWN TRAIL A TRIKE.

SPECIAL NEEDS TAKES TO THE WATER
Here is a picture of a kayak I converted from foot-pedal drive to hand-cranked drive. A neat and efficient mechanism drives a 15" 2-bladed model airplane propeller. Scott (a Paraplegic) can spend 3 hours or so cruising the bay with this, whereas paddling is almost impossible for him. The picture shows him steering and pedalling with the other hand.
Continuing the innovative approach to the special needs vehicles we now have suspension available on all models. It's so smoooooth!
TRANSFORMERS (Convertible Models)
We also have many "Transformer" models that besides a custom fit and purpose readily and easily converts to another mode of travel-from being pushed as a wheelchair to towing by a bike or Segway, used as a rickshaw or pulled by the family dog or miniature pony.
There has never been so many ways to get the therapeutic benefits that go with these styles of travel, whether you are on the road, on the trails or hiking up that mountain.
There is more to come...........
Tony can build you a racing wheelchair like the one custom-designed and built for world-crossing "Man in Motion," Rick Hansen (above). It features Ackerman front-end geometry, which causes the front wheels to be always tangential to the centre of turning radii Tony builds wheelchairs for racing and other specialized uses.

Children of all abilities love the fun and security of a specially designed children's trailer.
The differently abled have specialized, often unique transportation needs, and for many years Tony Hoar has been building vehicles to meet those needs.
FROM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING RACING WHEELCHAIRS TO EVERYDAY SPECIAL NEEDS VEHICLES, WE HAVE SOMETHING TO SUIT YOUR PURPOSE, OR THE ABILITY TO CUSTOM BUILD TO YOUR NEEDS.

Most Trailers can be towed with the rider facing either direction. Allowing the rider to face either direction gives a chance for other family members to interact with the rider when the rider is facing to the rear. Also in this position the rider is protected from flying road crud or trailside branches.
A rear-view mirror, mud-flaps and fenders are necessary on the towing bicycle!
The above vehicles are usually towed by a bicycle, but in addition can be towed by Segways, dogs and horses, or pulled as a rickshaw.
When detached from the bicycle etc they can be moved easily by using the towbar as a handle.
One version actually converts to a wheelchair-with or without suspension.

This option allows the trailer occupant to face forward or backwards (with a few minutes of adjustments). It includes making the wheels "Quick-Release" and adjustable for width.
When facing backwards the occupant can converse with other cyclists riding behind the trailer and enjoy protection from mud etc off the wheel of the towing bike and intrusive branches on the trail.
