SUSPENSION

Continuing the innovative approach to the special needs vehicles we now have suspension available on all models. It's so smoooooth!

TRANSFORMERS

We also have many "Transformer" models that besides a custom fit and purpose readily and easily converts to another mode of travel-from being pushed as a wheelchair to towing by a bike or Segway, used as a rickshaw or pulled by the family dog or miniature pony.

There has never been so many ways to get the therapeutic benefits that go with these styles of travel, whether you are on the road, on the trails or hiking up that mountain.

There is more to come...........

Tony can build you a racing wheelchair like the one custom-designed and built for world-crossing "Man in Motion," Rick Hansen (above). It features Ackerman front-end geometry, which causes the front wheels to be always tangential to the centre of turning radii Tony builds wheelchairs for racing and other specialized uses.

Children of all abilities love the fun and security of a specially designed children's trailer.

The differently abled have specialized, often unique transportation needs, and for many years Tony Hoar has been building vehicles to meet those needs.

FROM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING RACING WHEELCHAIRS TO EVERYDAY SPECIAL NEEDS VEHICLES, WE HAVE SOMETHING TO SUIT YOUR PURPOSE, OR THE ABILITY TO CUSTOM BUILD TO YOUR NEEDS.

Wheelchair Carrier Trail-A-Chair Trail-A-Trike Convertible Wheelchair Micah trykebar.

Left to right-The Trail A Chair- The Wheelchair Carrier with suspension, convertible to a rickshaw and for pulling by a miniature horse.-Wheelcair Carrier with suspension.- Wheelchair Carrier with fast road wheels.

All Trailers can be towed with the rider facing either direction. Allowing the rider to face either direction gives a chance for other family members to interact with the rider when the rider is facing to the rear. Also in this position the rider is protected from flying road crud or trailside branches. A rear-view mirror, mud-flaps and fenders are necessary on the towing bicycle!

The above vehicles are usually towed by a bicycle, but in addition can be towed by Segways, dogs and horses, or pulled as a rickshaw. When detached from the bicycle etc they can be moved easily by using the towbar as a handle. One version actually converts to a wheelchair-with or without suspension.

INSTUTIONAL USE

An economy measure is Institutional or Cooperative ownership. Where the advantages are obvious, and this affords the opportunity to try several types before deciding on a purchase.

These are all designed and handbuilt by myself and are essentially maintenance-free.

Tony applies his innovative thinking to wheelchair and trailer designs that meet the individual requirements of the disabled and their families.

Feel free to contact Tony Hoar directly to discuss your requirements(contact information at bottom of this page).
